Kathmandu, May 2: The meeting of the Constitutional Council today has recommended the acting chief justice of the Supreme Court Sushila Karki to the post of chief justice.
The meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar recommended her name and decided to send the recommendation to the parliamentary hearing committee, said Law Minister Agni Kharel.
Earlier, the council had recommended the name of Karki for the same but remained ineffectual due to absence of speaker Onsari Gharti.
