Kathmandu, March 28: Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Radio Nepal, Dinesh Thapaliya today said that employees of the oldest broadcasting agency should be healthy for better development of the agency.
Addressing an inaugural programme of a mega health camp organised by the Radio Nepal Employees’ Association (RNEA) to mark Radio Nepal’s 66th anniversary today, he viewed that all employees of Radio Nepal should remain healthy and competitive for the progress of the state-owned agency.
“A big portion of budget is flowing into foreign countries for treatment of different kinds of diseases. An environment should be created to provide treatment for all types of diseases in Nepal to stop such flow of money,” he said.
On the occasion, Executive Director of Radio Nepal Suresh Kumar Karki said that positive thoughts would be generated through sound and health minds.
So all employees of the agency should remain healthy for better development of the agency, he added.
RNEA Chairman Chet Narayan Poudel said that it would be better if government employees are provided with health check-up through such health camps regularly.
