Khotang, March 24: Blacktopping has started at Diktel-Chakhewa road section along the Madhyapahadi (Mid-Hill) Highway.
An agreement to this effect was signed with Golden Good Pvt Ltd to complete blacktopping on the road within three years. Among the tasks underway are road expansion, bridge construction and crushing stones and pebbles for blacktopping.
The 46-km road stretch has been grouped into five parts for blacktopping, said the Road Division Engineer Yubaraj Pandey. He said the estimated cost for the blacktopping is around Rs 1 billion.
