The
second
day
of
the
meeting
of
the
Programming
Committee
under
the
37th
South
Asian
Association
for
Regional
Cooperation
(SAARC)
Foreign
Ministerial
Meeting
continued
today.
At
the
meeting
taking
place
at
the
Grand
Hotel
in
the
lake
city
of
Pokhara,
discussions
will
touch
on
matter
of
updating
the
SAARC
Calendar,
presenting
the
conclusion
of
deliberations
held
since
Monday
at
the
Standing
Committee
meeting
and
giving
final
shape
to
the
draft
of
the
report,
Foreign
Ministry’s
Joint
Secretary,
Mani
Prasad
Bhattarai
said.
The
meeting
held
on
Monday
deliberated
on
implementation
and
assessment
of
the
decisions
taken
by
the
earlier
meetings
of
the
Programming
Committee.
On
Monday,
reports
were
presented
from
SAARC
University,
SAARC
Development
Fund,
SAARC
Arbitration
Council
and
South
Asian
Regional
Standards
Organization
on
their
respective
activities
that
went
through
deliberations.
The
meeting
is
being
participated
by
Joint
Secretaries
of
the
eight
member
states’
external
and
foreign
ministries.
As
per
the
SAARC
Council
of
Ministers
meeting’s
calendar
of
activities,
the
Programming
Committee
meeting
will
be
held
on
March
14
and
15,
the
Standing
Committee
meeting
will
take
place
on
March
16
while
the
Foreign
Ministerial
meeting
will
take
place
on
the
final
day,
March
17,
according
to
Deputy
Chief
of
Protocol,
Rajaram
Bartaula.
Prime
Minister
KP
Sharma
Oli
is
scheduled
to
inaugurate
the
Foreign
Ministerial
meeting
on
March
17.
