KATHMANDU: The 1,000 metric tonnes of petrol, being granted by China, will arrive at the Rasuwagadhi border point, by Wednesday.
Rasuwa Chief District Officer Shivaram Gelal told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti that as many as 25 tankers of Nepal Oil Corporation would supply the fuel to Kathmandu every day from Wednesday.
The Chinese side is responsible to transport the petrol to the checkpoint, according to Gelal.
The Chinese authorities have already repaired some road sections damaged by the April 25 earthquake and begun vehicular movement, informed the official.
The RSS quoted Armed Police Force DSP Darshan Giri that an APF troop would be deployed in Timure after the Rasuwagadhi customs point comes into full operation.
