KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa held a meeting with India’s External Affairs Minister in New Delhi on Sunday.

Nepal’s Ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay was also present on the occasion.

Deputy Prime Minister Thapa had flown to the Indian capital on Saturday to hold talks with the Indian government over disruption of essential supplies to Nepal.

Also, India’s Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar held a separate meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Thapa.

After the new government was formed last week, Swaraj invited her Nepali counterpart for a three-day official visit to India.

Thapa is set to return home on Monday.
