Kapilvastu, Oct 15: Life in the district is gradually returning to normalcy with the announcement of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) to ease the agitations, it has been launching for the past two months against the delineation of new provinces, in view of Hindu festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
A statement issued by the front after its district-level meeting held in the district on Wednesday evening decided to resort to the move.
Shatish Kumar Gupta, district coordinator of the front, however, said that the meeting decided to continue with the protest on the Highways and border customs.
As a result of the front’s announcement to ease the protest, vehicles on short routes in the district started plying while the market in cities like Taulihawa, Krishnanagar, Chandrauta, Marjadpur and Maharajgunj remained opened.
Likewise, operations of schools in Taulihawa that were affected due to the protest, also resumed and government offices operated. RSS
