Kathmandu : The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has pledged to provide fuel to the large public vehicles during the near-coming Dashain, Nepal Sambat, Tihar and Chhath festivals.
The NOC is preparing to provide fuels to the public vehicles from its stock as the import of petroleum products from India has sharply reduced after the agitations in the Terai and India’s undeclared blockade. The NOC has also urged the consumers for proper utilisation of the fuel.
The NOC has also said that it has made maximum efforts to provide aviation fuel to give continuity to the domestic flights.
The NOC has provided 30,000 litres of petrol and 166,000 litres of diesel from its different depots in the recent days.
Executive Director of the NOC, Gopal Bahadur Khadka, said that management of the fuel is being made for the maximum utilisation of the stock. He added that the existing problem would not be created until the things were resolved at the political level.
The NOC has decided to provide 15 litres fuel to the small vehicles, 20 litres to the mini-buses and 30 litres to the large buses. RSS
