Khajura (Banke), Aug. 23: Processes to maintain greenery in Kohalpur Municipality in Banke district are going on after the government unveiled a plan to make it a green city.
Executive Officer of the Municipality, Govinda Prasad Pandey, said that all possible efforts would be carried out to make the city green. He said 50,000 plants would be planted in the town.
Likewise, rules have been unveiled for the plantation of fruits’ saplings in each house in the municipality. The government has allocated Rs 10 million in the current fiscal year to implement the plan. It is said that the amount would be spent for installation of solar panels, tree plantation and other necessary jobs. RSS
