Biratnagar, Aug. 13: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the new constitution would be delivered by August-end.

Addressing a gathering of party cadres in Biratnagar today, the former prime minister said that the new constitution will play an important role in strengthening the relations of Nepali people and speeding up development.

He urged the people, who are intensifying agitations in the country by putting forth various demands, to get their demands met through dialogues. “Aside from only rights, people should also feel their duty towards the country,” said the UML leader.

He claimed that the new draft constitution will ensure rights of all people including Madhesi, Dalits, women and marginalised groups.

Saying that elections to the local bodies would be held right after the issuance of the constitution, he directed his party cadres to strength their party organisations for the same.

On the occasion, UML Vice-chairperson Bidhya Devi Bhandari said any sort of action that would disturb social harmony should not take place in the country. RSS
