Jumla, Aug 10: Tension is flaring up in five districts in Karnali zone due to the agitation launched by the Joint Struggle Committee against the proposed demarcation of the federal units.
The Committee has to say that the recent consensus on federalism forged amongst the political parties was anti-Karnali and would put the identity of Karnali at stake.
The agitators have also disrupted the ongoing exam of Bachelors second year Educational Psychology (314) at the Jumla Multiple Campus in Jumla.
According to the Campus Chief Prakashchandra Khattri, today’s exam has been cancelled as the cadres tore the exam papers and vandalized the campus property. A total of 510 students have been affected due to the cancelation of the exam, it was shared.
Moreover, the cadres have also shut down the government offices in the district. This led to the clash between police and cadres in front of the District Administration Office, Jumla.
The government security authorities have been trying to avoid any untoward activities in the district owing to the clash, shared the Chief District Officer of Jumla, Dipendraraj Poudel. RSS
