Kathmandu, Aug. 3: The main opposition party UCPN (Maoist) has boycotted today’s parliament meeting citing the discussions scheduled on the Appropriation Bill-2072 BS was incomplete. Soon after the opposition lawmakers left the house, speaker Subas Nembang postponed the meeting for tomorrow.
Before it, Minister for Finance Dr Ramsharan Mahat had tabled the proposal seeking the Parliament start the discussions on the bill. Prior to this, chief whip of the UCPN (Maoist) Giriraj Mani Pokharel had said that the issues of peace process should not be forgotten while preparing the budget.
Lawmakers Rajendra Pandey, Bikas Lamsal, Ramhari Subedi, Parbat Gurung, Shiv Lal Thapa and Karna Bahadur Thapa had expressed their views in the meeting.
