Falebas (Parbat), April 19: An ambulance service has been brought into operation in a remote village keeping in mind the situation that rural people have lost their lives untimely in lack of transport facilities.
The ambulance received from the Ministry of Health on grant is providing service in the remote village now. The service of ambulance that is to be operated through the Primary Health Centre based in Lunkhu Deurali VDC of Parbat was formally launched on last Sunday.
Inaugurating the ambulance service, lawmaker Bikas Lamsal said the new service would hopefully end the situation where the rural residents have to end their lives in lack of transport facilities to reach to the hospital.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress Parbat District Secretary Biswo Prakash Prasain expressed his confidence that the ambulance service would help rural people’s access to health services at the earliest and resolve their health problems.
With the operation of the service people of around a dozen VDCs of Parbat and Syangja are to be benefitted, he added.
